zola jesus & austra

last thursday we went to see zola jesus. psychic teens (loved) and xanopticon (eh) opened. the show was great, she even jumped into the crowd and ran around a bit. which was fun. she's miniature, so you could never tell if she was right next to you or not.

last night i saw austra. her dress was amazing. she also had these really wonderful hand slave chain ring things which i was coveting. grimes opened. both were pretty exceptional! i think this may be my favorite show of the year so far.





both shows were at philly's iconic first unitarian church.
